00/The keep-in-touch app
Stay in touch with family and friends, a few minutes at a time.
Orbital is a private keep-in-touch app. It finds a few free minutes in your week to call or message the people you care about, remembers what they told you, and keeps all of it on your phone.

You mean to call. Then the week’s gone.
Work runs late, the weekend fills up, and suddenly it has been a month.
Mum's eight hours behind, so the good times never seem to line up.
You feel bad about it, which makes it harder to start.
Orbital doesn’t add guilt. It finds the moment and tells you who it’s for.
01/How it works
How does Orbital remind you to call?
Pick your people
Choose them from your contacts. Only the ones you pick are kept, and only on your phone.
Orbital finds the window
It checks your calendar and quiet hours and picks a few free minutes, as often as you want to talk.
Talk, then add a star
Call or message them. Tell Orbital you talked, and it becomes a star in your sky.
02/What it does
Small things that add up.
B / One nudge
One person, one good time. Not a to-do list.
C / Follow-ups
Remembers to ask how it went.
“Clinic visit on the 18th.”
Ask Mum how it went · Mon 19 OctD / Moments
Remembers where every conversation left off.
E / Home screen
Call or say you talked, right from the widget.
No need to open the app.
F / Your week
A short look back every Sunday.
Who you caught up with, and who is coming up.
G / Coming later
Rest your other apps during a window.
Not in the app yet. We'll say when it is.
03/Your sky
Every catch-up becomes a star.
Your people orbit you. Every call or message adds a star, and over the year your stars join into real constellations: the Southern Cross for one person, Orion for another. There are no streaks to lose and nothing turns red.

04/Family overseas
Staying in touch with family overseas.
Tell Orbital where they live. It only suggests times when you’re both awake, and shows you the time on their side before you call.
No more maths at 11 PM, and no more waking anyone up.

Subscription terms07/Questions
Things people ask.
Is there an app that reminds you to call family?
Yes. Orbital picks a few free minutes in your week and tells you who to call, based on how often you want to talk to each person.
Does Orbital upload my contacts?
No. You choose people from your contacts, and only those are saved, on your phone. Nothing is uploaded.
Can Orbital see my calls or messages?
No. It never reads your call log or messages. When you've talked, you tap We talked, or Orbital asks once next time you open it.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, email or password.
How is this different from a calendar reminder?
A reminder goes off at the same time whether you're free or not. Orbital picks a time you're actually free and learns when each person usually picks up.
Does it work with family in another time zone?
Yes. Add where they live and Orbital only suggests times when you are both awake.
Is it good if I have ADHD or just forget?
It's built for people who forget. One nudge at a good moment, never a list of overdue tasks, and nothing goes red if a week gets away from you.
Is Orbital on iPhone?
Android first. iPhone is coming soon.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
It's deleted with the app. It only lives on your phone, though your phone's own backup may keep an encrypted copy.
How much does Orbital cost?
It's free to start, with no card. Orbital Pro is A$59.99 a year, and the yearly plan begins with a free month. There's also a monthly plan at A$9.99 and a one-off lifetime option at A$149.99.
08/Why Orbital
I’ve always struggled to balance work with calling the people I care about. Then I noticed friends and family had stopped calling me. Nothing had gone wrong between us. I just hadn’t been checking in, and we were drifting apart without meaning to. That really hurt.
So I built Orbital, to make sure the people I love keep hearing from me.
Ten minutes this week. Someone will be glad you called.
